Global Warming: One Mans View
March 25, 2007 | Leave a Comment
The Brass Monkey did not write this but upon reading it decided to share it with you.
Way back in the 1970’s the governement was warned by the ” so called experts ” that the earth was headed fast for an ice age . Yet here we are only 30 years later being told by those same experts that we are headed for a melt down and global warming will Kill this planet !!
First i will give you a little history lesson and then i will make my point and please do feel free to correct me or simply put your point accross …
Back approximately 350 million years ago the earth was inhabited by very different beings than of today. the climate was much warmer and much higher in oxygen content than today . the earth over the ages both, before and since, has seen many changes both in the gas content surounding the planet and the creatures living on it . carbon dioxide and oxygen have always fluctuated during these times and so has the the air temprature ,as has the temperature from the sun which is in a constant state of flux with hot spots and solar flares which send out high radiation and extreme temprature ” gusts ” out into the universe .. these temperature ” gusts ” would best be described as winds but due to the atmosphere of the solar system gusts seems to be a better word .. with the above in mind i would say that the earthe is in a constant state of change from high temperature to low as different elements affect it in the way they do …. even the cloud cover around the earth can change the temperature , a very basic but very easy way to explain this is … when the earth is sat in space in its normal rotation round the sun with next to no cloud cover the earth is warm and we feel that warmth , yet when cloud cover is dense the earth feels cooler , now i know u gonna say wow we already knew this … yes i know you did but its a good example … with the ages of man on the earth for the past 2000 odd years ” much longer but keepin things in the greater known history ” we can see that the planet has been ” polluted ” by mans being here .first from fires for cooking and staying warm and later as we progressed and learned to be more industrial , a good example is back in the 16 / 17 / 18th centuries when coal was being mined and burned , to a degree cities were in a constant state of being covered by clouds of soot and ash from heavy industry burning of coal to fuel their work processes and the occupants of the cities cooking and trying to stay warm ” especially in winter months ” .. here we are now in the 22nd century with much cleaner forms of fuel and far higher efficency of extracting energy from said fuel and we now face according to the experts gloabl warming ” … which according to these experts would stop if we stopped pumping carbon dioxide into the air . ” excuse me if i laugh ” . global temperatures and the weather patterns we face cannot be controlled solely or even in the main part by ourselves we can merely contribute to effects by adding more pollutants to the earth to aid such things as global warming with ash and dust clouds this would stop light from the sun reaching the earth and the heat from the sun that managed to get to earth would be trapped underneath this blacket of pollutant clouds , but in that we need to realise that a lot of the heat would never reach the earth as that same cloud would also prevent the heat from getting here .. another thing to consider is volcanic action on the face of the planet as this alone produces MORE ,yes thats correct, More carbon dioxide than the whole of the human race … and the dust clouds created by an eruption usually get sseen from miles around … a sure sign of just how much dust and ash that has been released …
Ok to my rant part …..
My rant is that our governments are increasing taxes on things like gas electricity and fuel for cars trucks buses ect ect …. with these increased taxes they assume that we will use less fuel to stay warm heat up food and travel .. and so aid the cooling of the earth due to less carbon dioxide being added to our environment , but what they havent done is to use those all that tax revenue to aid the planet .. in such things like forest farms to help replenish the stocks of coal and naturely forming gas pockets that would be created by rotting vegetation from fallen leaves . other areas they could but dont invest those taxes are for more efficent forms of transport , instead they spend the money on things like nuclear power plants which are far more dangerous than any coal or gas burning power plants and the waste that is pumped out is left in the environment for much longer too … the mentality is simple and so obviously cunning that its pathetic … the reason for increasing the taxes is so the governments of the world hold more cash and have more control over your world and how they see fit for it to be run than we do . for example europe the biggest white elephant of democracy , freedom and the market place that has ever been cooked up by a group of so called experts …. explanation : . the eec was decined to be a market place for all countries involved to be able to sell their produce so everyone could prosper yet the only real winners are the governements , they get free trips abroad into europe and get to control the market place where Everything is shipped by air sea or road and the taxes from movin these goods go to the governments , so no longer are goods produced locally for local consumption and the cost of transporting these goods has soared to the sky as the small local producers have been put out of business by big government grants to selected industries in selected countries therefore creating a single yet vastly bigger market where transport is must ” so much for the environment “(TBM insert here) I saw fish from China in a local super market! What the hell is this we have plenty of fish in US waters. (end TBM insert) and up the taxes and revenues created for governements .. ” this is just one example but an obvious way in which your governements are wasting resources and taxing you for the priviledge … one other thing that makes me laugh is the way people say i would pay more if it helped the planet .. how the hell is throwing money at something ever going to cure it … it would be much smarter to lobby your friends family and local government to be more fuel efficient ie when going food shopping complain to another big waster of the environment the super markets and say less fancy packaging and more value for money foods would be better …. i have hardly even scratched the surface of this subject but im sure the idea of what im tryin to get accross is there for all to see , as stated in the opening please do feel free to partipate to this and air your views ….

TBM urges all Americans not to forget this.
