Alberto Gonzales is just the tip of the Iceberg

Claims faulty memory 70 times

It’s not surprising that Bush would be pleased. Like a good soldier, Gonzales, who claimed a faulty memory 70 times, was careful not to incriminate his bosses.

As Democratic and Republican leaders alike pile on to demand Alberto Gonzales’ resignation, only George W. Bush is singing his praises. Deputy press secretary Dana Perino said Bush was happy with Gonzales’ testimony. “The attorney general continues to have the president’s full confidence,” she said.

The Brass Monkey thinks eventually Dictator Bush will have to get rid of Gonzales the way he got rid of his friend Donald Rumsfeld. Loyal Republican senators trying to paint Gonzales as incompetent don’t want the finger to point higher to the real culprits Karl Rove, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney..The Brass Monkey Home Page

EEOC Attacks the Salvation Army

April 26, 2007 | Leave a Comment

Just when you think you have heard it all, along comes a story that is almost too ridiculous to be true. But it is. The idiocy of federal bureaucracies apparently is never-ending. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which might easily be called the Department of Political Correctness, has decided to take on the Salvation Army.

It all started in a thrift store in Framingham, Massachusetts. Two Hispanic employees were given one year to learn English in order to speak the language of the country in which they live and the language spoken by other employees. They failed to do so; in turn the employees were fired. The EEOC filed a lawsuit against the Salvation Army claiming the employees had suffered “emotional pain, humiliation and embarrassment” as a result of the English-only policy.

The Brass Monkey thinks that this is absurd, these two Spanish speaking employees were givin a year to try and learn English and made absolutely no effort to do so. They remind me of the crowds in Los Angeles last year protesting in the streets demanding “rights” for illegal aliens in the US while they were carring Mexican Flags.

Loves there AMERICAN Staffed ISP

April 16, 2007 | Leave a Comment

The Brass Monkey frequently browses various forums and BBs and today came across this post in a forum rant. It has to do with ISPs but indirectly or directly relates to alot of the posts in this blog, so we thought we would share it with you.The following was posted by my-twisted-sister

I cant complain, my isp company went out of it’s way to give me good service and get my computer connected. and I’ve had amazing service from the techs whenever I need them. also, I have found that if i stick with small american companies. I dont talk to folks from india, or china, or korea, or mexico, or south america, or whereever else industrial leaders are selling out middle class working folks’ jobs, in favor of cheap cheap labor.

Oh man, that will simply start off a rant for me….. but my isp is wonderful.
and as for calling, since they are long distance from here in the next town, they provided me with a free 1-800 number to call whenever i need to talk to the techs.

The above was a reply to a post preceding where the poster was upset with there ISP.
