In the wake of 9/11 there were programs set up to increase our national security. Some of these programs (like border security) are now facing funding cuts. The reasoning of the Obama administration is that we need to shift funds from border security to airline security after the Christmas attempted bombing of an airliner.
The top Republican on the House panel that oversee´s the Homeland security Department´s budget, Hal Rogers of Kentucky says that this move is woefully inadequate and indefensible.
Could this be just a convenient way to keep the floodgates open for illegal aliens? Only the Obama administration knows for sure. We think it is a dangerous move because some proof exists that besides the trafficking of all kinds that is going on there that some terrorists probably have used this as an easy way to get into the United States.
