Finally, folks it has happened. President Bush has commuted the sentences of Border Agents Compean and Ramos

A lot of people including the Texas delegation in congress have pleaded with Bush to pardon them. the pleas for a pardon were bipartisan in the delegation.

This writer has advocated a full pardon from the beginning but understands that the Attorney General at the time was Alberto Gonzales a Bush Crony who had the book thrown at the agents.

Well the pardon did not come through but the agents got the second best thing, the commutation of there sentence. They are expected to be released sometime in March.

Kudos to Bush for this deed. We have not had much reason in the last 8 years to give President Bush kudos, in fact I cannot recall any at all. The Brass Monkey Blog . Net usually called him Dictator Bush.

So good bye to George W and hello to Barack Obama, I wish you all the luck to get our country out of the big hole we seem to have fallen in.
