Chinese Yahoo E-Mail Accounts Hacked

1

Hacking GraphicYahoo E-Mail accounts hacked in China. The attacks seemed to be coordinated and were against journalists, rights activists and academics. A Chinese human rights organization said that there web site was hit 5 days in a row.

In at least one incident a hacked account had all there E-Mails forwarded to a mystery address. This is just the latest of hacks originating in China.

Various internet attacks that originated in China started last April. those hacks affected dozens of American corporations, law firms and individuals.

In a way it is surprising that Yahoo accounts were hit because you might remember in 2006, Yahoo turned over data that officials used to help prosecute several dissidents. Yahoo A Dot Commie Company Shame On You One, a journalist named Shi Tao, was later given a 10-year sentence for leaking a secret propaganda directive. Shame on you Yahoo.
