It could only be greed for power that makes people like Harry Reid and John McCain keep trying to get reelected. It is not money because McCain has all he will ever need, hell he spent 20 million of his own cash to get the nomination vote in Arizona. He even flip flopped on illegal alien issues. Why because all along the voters in Arizona disagreed with him. I feel if he had not flip flopped he would have lost the nomination despite the 20 million.

McCain and Reid are ancients and so are a lot of other people in congress. These power hungry ancients need to retire. Let them kick back and enjoy there retirement. Have some cocktails and enjoy.

Besides the greed for power that ancients in congress must crave, it seems that they say a lot of what there constituents want to hear when they are trying to get renominated and as soon as they get back in DC they pursue there own and there cronies agendas. These are just some of the reasons that incumbents need to get the boot.
