Hazleton mayor Lou Barletta has had it with illegal immigrants and the employers who hire them.

Fed up with drug dealing, murder and other crimes commited by illegal immigrants in this Pa town the mayor has decided to take action. In a Bill he introduced to the city council (that has tentative approvel) business licenses of employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens would be revoked and landlords who rent to the illegals would face stiff fines. The Brass Monkey applauds Mayor Barletta and hopes that other towns will follow his lead as it seems that Bush is to busy kissing Mexican President Fox’s ass to even enforce existing laws on the books.

With our leaders in Washington abandoning us it looks more and more like if anything is going to be done it will have to be left up to governments at local and state level to stop the invasion and we are starting to see this more and more as it becomes apparent that Bush and Congress could care less about American citizens as they continue to pander to big business and in effect say screw you to the average citizen.

The Brass Monkey gives a big thumbs up to Mayor Barletta and hopes others in his position will take notice.
