The sudden and immediate emphasis by DHS head Napolitano on removing criminal aliens is a time-tested political ploy to justify a shift of resources away from much-needed worksite enforcement in the administration’s quest to protect most illegal aliens from immigration apprehension and removal. The former Governor of Arizona was wise to take another job because most of the voters in Arizona were for the strict immigration laws in that state that went into effect, those laws were pretty much opposed by her.

Why can’t we do both? On one hand catch the criminal illegal aliens and go after the employers of illegal aliens. Let’s face the stark reality folks, if employers are afraid to hire these aliens there would be no jobs for them here, therefore no financial reason for them to come here. Of course we also should continue border enforcement and deportation of these crooks who are stealing jobs from Americans especially now when jobs are becoming harder to find.
