Extradition might be soon for Gary McKinnon. Flashback 8 years and you might remember that the US Air Force, Navy, Army, Department Of Defense and NASA were all hacked by a UK citizen named Gary McKinnon better known at that time in the hacking world as Solo.

He was arrested back then but has so far avoided being extradited to the USA. It seems that most folks in the UK wanted him tried there and not in the USA, even a lot of IT professionals whose job was to stop hackers wish him to not be extradited.

He said he broke into the computer systems only in order, he claims, to hunt for top secret information about anti-gravity propulsion systems and alien technology, which he believed the authorities were hiding from the public. Hmmmm, Ok i might buy that. It is certainly better then the hacker crooks now who steal your identity and money. Hacking used to be pretty much for fun. Not anymore folks, it is done for much more sinister reasons now

Finally folks here is a great little footnote. It is said that he worked out of his bedroom on a dial-up modem =)
