New Yorker Cover: Obama Cartoon
July 15, 2008
Obama was not thrilled about making the cover of the New Yorker.
A recent issue of The New Yorker magazine had a cartoon with a backdrop of the oval office and an American flag burning in the fireplace with a portrait of Osama over it showing Obama in Muslim garb with his wife depicted as a terrosist compleat with a machine gun strapped over her shoulder. Osama, opps I mean Obama did not see the humor and alot of other folks felt the same way, calling the cartoon tasteless.
Senator McCain said,
“I just saw a picture of it on television … I think it’s totally inappropriate and frankly I understand if Senator Obama and his supporters would find it offensive,”
I have no opinion one way or the other on this issue, but I am sure if you surf around the net you will find many, like this one in the Huffington Post. People Complaining About The Obama “New Yorker” Cover Are Wrong
