In Grand Isle Louisiana until today there were maybe 20 or so people working at cleaning up the oil and scum on the beach with rakes and shovels. UNTIL TODAY. Hmmm, what was different about today? The president was coming of course. Today there were hundreds of people working on beach clean up all dressed in white paints and red or blue shirts.
Now it starts getting really good people. When reporters tried to ask the workers where they were from, the answers were give or take, I am not allowed to tell you. When were you hired? I am not allowed to tell you. Who are you working for? I can not talk to you. Similar answers were given for any questions asked.
Just when you think the sham could not get any worse, here comes the knockout punch. As soon as the president left the area the hundreds of workers vanished. You can draw your own conclusions from this story folks.
It has become pretty clear that that in this whole mess, the government has no idea what BP is doing and visa versa.
This environmental catastrophe (even BP is calling this that now) probably could have been prevented. It happened because of GREED and CORRUPTION! Greed on the part of BP and corruption in the US government namely the Minerals Management Service that is supposed to oversee offshore energy and minerals management.
We all know for sure by now that big corporations and businesses can not be trusted to do the right thing, especially if the right thing costs more then doing it on the cheap. It is becoming more and more clear that the government can not be trusted either. Take for example the Minerals Management Service, an arm of the government. It was found out several years ago that individuals in that service were taking bribes in the form of prostitutes, porn and drugs.

There are also stories coming out from survivors about a series of various telltale signs that were ignored about possible coming trouble. These signs started hours before the explosions and fire that killed 11 and sunk the Deep Water Horizon. Among the red flags, were several equipment readings suggesting that gas was bubbling into the well, a potential sign of an impending blowout. It seems that who ever the dude in charge of the rig decided to ignore the gas and other warnings. The only reasons I can come up with for why the rig head honcho took these inaction´s are pretty simple. One: He is a major dumb ass. Two: (The Greed factor comes into play here), he was being forced by company big wigs to keep going full speed ahead. This person brings to mind the captain of the Titanic. On a moonless night and many Iceberg warnings from other ships, the idiot gets talked into putting the peddle to the medal. The end result DISASTER, just like the end result for the Deep Water Horizon.
