The Philadelphia Bulletin reports former Homeland Security secretary and former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said Thursday he does not intend to run for U.S. Senate next year.

Judge Blames Assault On South Park TV Show
Rather than punish two teens who pleaded guilty to assaulting a red-headed classmate, a judge took aim at the animated television program South Park that inspired the so-called Kick-A-Ginger Day
The Calgary Herald reports that the judge went on to say “that South Park is a vulgar, socially irreverent program which contributes nothing of value to anyone or any community goes without saying.”
New Santa Fe Store Will Harvest Water
Two giant metal tanks have been installed at the not-yet-open Sunflower Farmers Market off Zafarano Road to capture rain runoff from the roof. The Santa Fe New Mexican says the water will be used to irrigate the low water-use landscaping and trees around the 26,000-square-foot store.
