UNM Student charged in Mexican Flag Incident
Peter Lynch a University of New Mexico student and Air Force vet was outraged when he saw a Mexican flag flying alone in front of the UNM administration building last September. He responded by pulling it down and tearing it up after futile calls to UNM officials and the ROTC. Lynch did admit to being overzealous, he remained resolute that his actions were righteous.
It seems that they were righteous because in section C of US Code: Title 4.7 it states
No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations.
A caller to an Albuquerque radio talk show said
If someone raises a foreign flag over another country’s sovereign territory, that it is a hostile act. What La Raza did was actually seditious behavior. They should be apologizing to us for raising that flag.
On April 2nd Mr. Lynch was convicted of destroying property and sentenced to six months of probation, 48 hours of community service restitution in the form of replacing the flag. He had only been out of the Air Force 72 hours at the time of the incident.
This brings to mind the incident last year of a Mexican bar owner in Reno Nevada flying the Mexican flag above that of the United States. In that case another service vet tour it down and cut it up.
With May just around the corner and the La Raza type thugs planning a repeat of the marches of last May, we are pretty sure there might be more “flag incidents”.
Finally, I don’t know about you but I think that these amigos who fly the Mexican flag are not patriots of the United States but patriots of Mexico and Mexico is were there loyalties lie. If that is the case we suggest they all head south post haste

Okay first of all, to all you white people. No one is better then anyone, and your hearing that from a Hispanic. Second of all. Mexico has its ups and downs just like America. You people say that Mexico is dirty and what not. Well America isn’t that clean. How many of you have actually taken the time to look out into the street and acknowledge the WHITE homeless people. You don’t do you. And the Millionaires of today are only that because they inherited what they have. My husband’s grandfather is a millionaire but he actually worked hard everyday for what he has and he is in Guatemala. Millionaires can come from any place. Third of all. About you being the richest and most powerful country. It may be true but always take a look at the things you buy. Where do they come from? You should probably think about that before talking about any other country may it be Mexico or not. Fourth of all. You say we just work at fast food places and you work in laboratories. Have you not looked around? There are Hispanic doctors and what not. And we aren’t the ones opening fast food places like TACO BELL. Honestly that isn’t real Mexican food. If you all think you’re better then Mexicans why try to imitate our food? Just think about it. Fifth of all. Yeah you could deport us all illegal or not with that money but then tell me how the jobs would get done… I know for a fact that white people LOVE, that Hispanics are willing to work out in fields in the sun all day to support their families, and not have to lift a single finger. Hispanic is the same thing as mexican… look it up. Tacos aren’t made with Hard Corn Shells.

the american did right , we dont allow that garbage of another flag in my area the mexicans know better. they reason your american streets are filthy now is because of these animals sneaking in to america if mexico was that great they wouldnt be here an working as cheap labor, they do save me alot of money tho, especially the illegal ones . cry all you want but these roaches , just brought back a new version of slavery. sneak into this country an you will be washing my floors.

In my opinion being of Mexican descent and very proud of it I would never fly a flag of any other country. I am a citizen of the Untied States of America. When I pledge elegance to the flag it wasn’t the Mexican Flag. It was the American flag. The good old Red, White and Blue. I place my hand over my heart and pledged my elegance to the American Flag of the United States of America almost everyday before starting class at school. Back when the biggest problem we had at school was chewing gum in glass which was an offense punishable by death the way I remember it. lol They are wrong for flying any other flag over America higher than the American flag. Now with that in mind it doesn’t give anyone the right to act like an idiot and tear down any other flag. That is a matter for the authorities. To ignore other peoples rights because you feel your rights are being violated is just down right stupid. Yes I said it, stupid stupid stupid. That is what our constitution is base on, equal rights. That was an act of stupidity on his part and no common since. Now of course this is just my opinion and I may be wrong. God Bless America.
