Designer Pro has an extremely fast rendering engine (perhaps the fastest of any graphics program) The tools are all very responsive and tight which says to me that the coders wrote it right and tight.
This program is not just a vector drawing program which it excels in, it can also be used for basic image editing, plus page layout and authoring what you see is what you get web pages. It just might be the only design program you will ever need.

Another plus is that it excepts most PS plugins and most image corrections and tweaks can be done on the same page as your drawings

I have been using Xara Designer Pro since it came out and used Xara Xtreme back to ver 3 and can honestly say that I can not remember any crashes. If you need professional print output and web design this is the one for you. If you do not need those features try Xara Photo and Graphic Designer which can only be described as one of the best software deals for this kind of program you will find anywhere.
